Smallworlds is a 3D virtual world that combines everything from chatting to your friends to avatar customization to minigames. It's online and there is no download needed.
GRAPHICS
So far Smallworlds has the best graphics on a free virtual world I have ever seen. On the movable items in world, the artists have included the smallest details instead of making tiny scribbles or vague lines as I found other artists do. They even include details on parts that the users don't see usually see. The flow of the movements of the avatars is awesome and the little animations some items have flow nicely too.
GAMEPLAY
If you like games with the action or thriller feel, you probably wouldn't like Smallworlds as it is more of a "house" real life game. I find it's a good game for those who have a creative fire inside of them. On Smallworlds there are various "widgets" that you can use to express yourself. One they recently added is the sculpting widget. There are lots of different sizes for different sculptures, and many tools you can use to "sculpt" the big white block. Another widget is paint. It functions just like a real canvas and you can set them up for others to see (you can do the with sculptures, too). A few things that stood out to me that I haven't seen on any other games are interactions and missions. Of course, other websites have missions, but the users are able to make missions on Smallworlds. Interactions are things you can set up on an in world item and they are able to, I guess you could say manipulate the items to interact with the avatars, the thing I like about this is with enough practice and patients then you can make spectacular things without having to be a computer genius. If you pay some real life money, you can get VIP which gives you access to other features in the game like more clothes and avatar options, however this isn't necessary to enjoy the game.
SOME THINGS I DON'T LIKE
Smallworlds does a lot of updates. Recently they changed the look of the game and in my opinion it's not as good as the old interface. However that is a matter of opinion and the game still functions good.
The lag is one thing I could live without, it's not as bad as some other games but before and after updates it's horrid.
RATING
Out of 5 stars I would give it a 4. There is some lag on the game, like I said and all of the updates have made it look kind of babyish. But it's still a great game.
